Aaron Zigler, first child of Benjamin Franklin and Catherine Libey
Zigler, was born February 5, 1824 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania and
married in 1846 in Taylor Falls, Trumbull County, Ohio, to Mary Polly
Shirey who was born in West Penn Township, Schuylkill County,
Pennsylvania. Mary moved with her parents to Taylor Falls, Trumbull
County, Ohio in 1835.
In the late 1840’s Aaron and Mary moved to near Shelby, Richland
County, Ohio. They later moved to Plymouth, Ohio.
They lived in Richland County for over 50 years. Aaron belonged to the
G.A.R. He served three years and six months in Company H. three hundred
fifty-fourth Infantry during the Civil War.
Mary died August 16, 1900 and Aaron died December 15, 1900. They
are both buried in Greenlawn Cemetery at Plymouth, Ohio.
Aaron and Mary raised eleven children.

Lovina died July 13, 1882 at Valparaiso, Indiana.
Lovina V. and John raised two children.
